Of The Water

Lovely shop with a very nice selection of tasty teas and non-alcoholic mixers. The cranberry tea is very pleasant with or with out just a bit of sweetener. I am on my second box.

We wandered in to Of the Water during Pastie Fest and after talking with the very knowledgable owner, we bought a non-alcoholic bourbon substitute, Lyre's American Malt. We enjoy having an occasional Manhattan and thought we would try making some with less alcohol. We later made some with no real bourbon, and some with half bourbon and half American Malt. The ones with half bourbon tasted nearly the same as a normal Manhattan. The ones that were 100% American Malt did not; they were not bad, just different. We like the idea of sometimes having a drink with less alcohol. This is a very interesting little store with a mission. We hope they succeed.

So excited to find this spot with so many alcohol free options! Beer, wine, and an awesome selection of spiritless whiskeys, gins, tequilas, etc…. This is marked as a “must visit” for future trips to the UP
